It is common for all of us to be enthusiastic about a new project or opportunity in the beginning. Building projects, even small projects, can take a year or two to complete due to site selection, site and building approvals, acquiring permits, project development, construction and project closeout. In time you can lose track of where you are. Staying connected with the project team from start to finish is vitally important.
The connection should properly and regularly document the progress of the project and be distributed to promote understanding and establish expectations. More importantly however, the purpose of the communication should be to foresee and avoid problems.
